Full name Retji Philip Dakum, Retji is a digital artist born and raised in Jos, Nigeria. Retji has always created art since birth, all through boarding (high) school in Nigeria and college in America. Currently with a BFA in Digital Arts from the College of New Jersey, he has been proactive in his community both on campus and off campus earning the Simon Boliver Achievement Award from the Minority Executive Council at TCNJ and other awards for his artworks such as the President's Purchase Award (TCNJ),  Department of Art & Art History Purchase Award and Best Media Work Award, Gen-Y 2.0 DMV Aspiring Artist Show, VisArts. He is currently based in the DC/ Maryland/ Virginia area in America.
